Hopper
The durable translucent plastic hopper has a 70L capacity. The cover locks to secure the contents.
Depth adjustment
Depth is easy to adjust using a hand wheel. This type of adjustment mechanism provides high-precision control of planting depth. It is easy to spot at the rear of the unit and is both wash and weather-proof.
Wide and short parallel linkage
The wide and short parallel linkage gives the unit outstanding vertical and side stability and also excellent contour following capability. The NX ME's special metering unit head can be attached to the 7-inch TOP frame. This provides a very sturdy unit-frame coupling.
Quickly adjustable double pressure springs
The double springs ensure high unit pressure, stabilizing the unit and guaranteeing consistent planting depth in all conditions. These pressure springs can be adjusted quickly to cater for variations in planting conditions.
Monoshox suspension with shock absorber
The Monoshox suspension with shock absorber consists of pressure springs and a specially developed shock absorber. When operating, the two pressure springs press the metering unit against the ground, while the suspension with shock absorber absorbs any shocks. This maintains optimal planting precision and depth consistency.
Fast detaching tip
Using the patented system enabling the tip to be changed quickly and tool-free, you can be sure of always having a tip that forms a true V-shaped furrow for precision seed placement at a consistent depth. The tip keeps the furrow open until the seed is positioned at the furrow bottom.
Adjustable open closing wheel unit*
The NX M/ME unit is equipped with a rear closing wheel unit with levers for adjusting wheel pressure and angle*. The rear closing wheels can be adjusted quickly to suit planting conditions by changing their pressure and angle settings.

Double opener discs
The planting system consists of two large-diameter discs (380mm) mounted on sealed ball bearings.
Gauge wheel
These large wheels (110mm) with very high load-bearing capacity allow optimal control of working depth. The positioning of the wheels in line with the seed drop ensures exceptional depth consistency.
Gauge wheel arms
The gauge wheel bracket arms are mounted on replaceable bushes and have spiral grooves for even grease distribution. Scrapers are fitted as standard on the gauge wheels.
High clearance for a wide range of accessories
The front part of the metering unit is designed so that a wide range of accessories can be used for low-till planting. The trash wheels and rippled circular coulter set is supplied as standard*. Other optional equipment is also available.

The aluminium Pro wheel is fitted with a stainless-steel tire and a plastic scraper. With its large diameter (380mm), the Pro wheel offers high-quality pressing and excellent seed placement.

Disc planting
Since 1989, Monosem has applied the concept of planting with the planter resting on the ground directly in line with the seed drop. This tried-and-tested planting method is versatile and accurate, and moreover cuts down on maintenance. The NX M/ME unit combines quality metering with disc planting, resulting in optimal use of the planter over very large areas reducing its operating costs.
Clod removers clear the way for the seed line, removing any clods, stones or plant debris.
This tool prepares the way for the double opener discs and produces fine soil for the seed line.

These discs open the furrow to a depth defined by the gauge wheels.
The V-shaped tip finishes the furrow bottom for optimal seed placement.
The shape of the tube is specially designed to guide the seeds gently to the ground at perfectly consistent intervals.

The metering box is made of cast aluminium. This means it will lose none of its accuracy over the years regardless of temperature variations.
The wear gasket is in permanent contact with the disc. It makes the metering box leak-proof and can be replaced.
These 1.5mm thick discs are made of stainless steel. The agitator fixed to the disc strengthens the unit. Discs are easy to change tool-free. A full range of discs is available meeting all single-seed planting requirements.
The bronze singulator prevents any duplicates. A spring on the metering box cover holds the singulator perfectly in place against the disc for optimal metering, even with small seeds.
The cast-iron cover is specially designed for planting with minimal seed reserves.
The metering system is highly accessible, both for adjustments and monitoring. A large transparent window can be used for monitoring metering after the singulator.
The emptying hatch is extremely convenient to operate. When you open the hatch, it stays open making it even easier to fully empty the unit using the emptying chute supplied as standard.

Trash wheels
Trash wheels can be fitted to the NX M/ME unit on their own for low-till planting conditions with soil trash.
Floating trash wheels
With floating trash wheels, it's possible to handle uneven terrain and remove trash without tilling the soil.
Circular coulter
Smooth or rippled, the circular coulter improves furrow opening and produces fine soil for low till planting and/or in trashy soils or in no-till conditions.
Clod remover
In traditional tillage conditions with no trash, the clod remover removes clods and stones ahead of the seed line.
Shoe with long tip and short wings
The special shoe with long tip and short wings is specially designed for planting in dry soils and for small seeds.
Notched closing wheels
The metal rear wheels with notched discs can be used on highly caked soils or to improve furrow closure.
Heavy notched closing wheels
The cast-iron heavy notched closing wheels are designed for soils that are extremely difficult to close.

Microsem's primary objectives are to nurture and protect seeds.
Distributing microgranules requires just as much care and precision as planting.
Our auger-based Microsem system ensures consistent distribution of insecticides, molluscicides and even fertilizers.
Microgranules are positioned very close to seeds, protecting them from pests and providing them with all the nutrients they require for uniform shoot emergence.
An 18-ratio gearbox is used to adjust the microgranulators:

Our microgranulator is equipped with two drop lines metering different products. One distributes products in the seed line and the other either in front of or behind the closing wheels.
Using the hatches and chute, it's quick and easy to empty any remaining products.
The microgranules contained in the hopper are taken up by 2 augers. Agitators ensure an even supply to these augers. A finger wheel then distributes the product consistently in the drop lines.
Insecticide: 3 to 25kg/ha for inter-row spacing of 75cm
Molluscicide: 3 to 10kg/ha for inter-row spacing of 75cm
Electrically driven Microsem units are available for the NX ME. A mechanical version is also available for the NX M with a variable speed drive enabling quick and easy adjustment of the microgranule rate.
FERTILIZING SYSTEMS

Fertilizer is evenly distributed using a system combining auger-based metering and agitators.
Stainless-steel augers with different pitches are available, ensuring that exactly the required quantity is metered.
Hoppers are available in various capacities and can be mounted on rigid and telescopic frames.
Electrically or mechanically driven versions are available, supporting you throughout planting and ensuring unrivalled precision.

A 12-ratio gearbox is used to adjust the quantity of fertilizer metered during planting.

The "high-output" augers (B) are red and meter 160 to 700kg/ha of fertilizer at inter-row spacing of 75cm.

The folding mounted frame consists of two 7-inch beams. Its folding system makes it easy to transport by road. This frame is equipped with a Category 3 hitch with pins.
